Good morning my dear fellow students
I started having this crazy habit of writing lists 2 years ago, when someone asks me what you want to be in life, I say I have a list , do you have time. so today I have 10 facts about hostel which had their inception or conclusions from hostel.
In hostel you meet 4 kinds of people,
firstly someone who exactly does the same thing as you would.
Someone who does the exact opposite of what you would do,
somone who does something you have never even heard of before
and someone who does what everyone does but does it a totally unconventional way
these 4 intersections of ppl meet in hostel.
Its only in hostel you understand the practical meaning of the phrase “money does not grow on trees” but they are made up of cotton fibers , but there are no cotton trees in PEC, hence you have to call your parents and scratch a plastic card.
Hostel has taught us many things, it has taught us punctuality if you are late you will miss your chicken, but still hostelrs are always late to class.
For the 1st time you realize that bittergaurd made at home, which you hated from the age of 5 actually tastes awesome.
Hostlers are nocturnal, they are always busy at night playing counter-strike, AOE or either watching how I met your mother and vampire diaries. Ok!! Not everyone play games, there are a few bookworms, they always study this book called the FaceBook.
This one is hard to get, if you can’t just forget it. Society as such doesn’t exists and you cant change society, if you are lucky you can only change an individual.
This is my 5th time I am here(on the stage) in this year. My knees still buckle everytime I stand on the stage, but I have the courage to come back and that is what hostel has taught me.
Long back on the first day you came to hostel, little you know what you would become but by the end you will know who you are ? and what you are? And that is a greatest gift to be treasured.
At the end I would like to close this with a line from a favorite song of mine “tonight’s gonna be a good good night”.
